PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY

The purpose of this policy is to state conditions applying to CSU employees giving testimony before legislative bodies.

APPLICATION OF THIS POLICY

This policy applies to all employees of the university.

POLICY STATEMENT

The Board encourages employees to make their expertise available to legislative committees. When an employee appears before such a committee, he or she shall make it clear that he or she speaks as a professional or as an individual and not on behalf of the University.
