PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY

The Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System exercised its option to adopt its own set of Fiscal Rules, in place of the State Fiscal Rules, by resolution on August 11, 2010, and delegated the Chancellor and the institution presidents the authority to revise the rules as appropriate. The CSU System Fiscal Rules were revised and adopted by the System Office and each of the institutions, effective as of December 21, 2010. These Rules supersede and replace all prior versions. Colorado State University is bound by these rules, and any conflicts between any institutional rule, policy or procedure and the CSUS Fiscal Rules shall be governed by the Fiscal Rule. Each institution and the System Office is also authorized to adopt its own policies and procedures to implement and supplement these Rules.
