The Environmental Health Services Hazardous Chemical Waste System Manual provides guidance to all university departments and personnel to assure the handling of hazardous wastes in a safe and economical manner by minimizing the amount of waste generated and utilizing the proper methods of disposal. The Manual includes specific responsibilities of EHS, Colleges and Departments, Principal Investigators and all hazardous waste generators. It provides information for users of the online hazardous waste disposal system as well as explanations of some of the most important regulatory requirements that apply at CSU, training offered by EHS, and guidelines for identifying, storing and disposing of wastes.
